A few years ago I decided I wanted to mainly play and stream games I grew up with. This eventually turned into trying out other popular games of the time that I missed out on. Then the idea was born! Why not dive deep into the libraries of the consoles I grew up with which were the NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis, and see what there is, good and bad. But simply playing them wasn’t enough. I decided I must play them till I beat them without any cheats, save stating, guides, turbo controller functions. Since most of these games will be brand new to me I wanted to make the first time experience as authentic as possible from taking down passwords and notes, drawing my own maps, and even working things out with friends sharing the experience. For now this project only includes libraries from the NES/Famicom/Famicom Disk System, SNES/Super Famicom/Satellaview, N64, GameCube, Game Boy/Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Virtual Boy, Sega Genesis/32X/CD/Mega Drive, Sega Master System, and Lynx. I might branch off to other systems but for now I got plenty to experience. Join me on my journey through these games as I conquer brutally awful games and discover hidden gems! How many games will I finish before I break?
As a new viewer there are many things you should know about how this project works and what you are able to do. Review the sections below to learn about everything. I know there’s a lot but overtime all this will become second nature to you if you choose to join me on this journey.

Pixels are the channel's currency that can be used to gamble or purchase various things from the Pixel Shop.
Game tokens are used to pick games that will be played in the RetroMasochism project.
All games played in the RetroMasochism project are picked by viewers from this list. I chose to go with this method because it’s fun for the viewers, and the randomness is fun for me. As a new viewer it will take a bit of time to be able to get your game added, but as a dedicated viewer you will be able to get many added, and played.
When picking a game by using any of the methods below please whisper me the name of the game, system, and if it is a RetroDome pick or a Buy ‘n Bump.
1 game token can be used to add your game to the RetroDome.
2 game tokens can be used to add your game to the next available slot on the Completed/Upcoming Games list.
1 game token can be used to bump your game out of the RetroDome to the next available slot on the Completed/Upcoming Games list.
Tokens can be converted to 60,000 pixels with the !convert tokens <# of tokens>
50,000 pixels will add the game to the RetroDome.
Another 50,000 pixels can be used to bump your game out of the RetroDome to the next available slot on the Completed/Upcoming Games list. 100,000 pixels can be used to bypass the RetroDome and add it to the next available slot.
Pixels can be used to buy attribute points for your RetroDome games to help improve their chances of winning. Each point costs 5,000 pixels. See RetroDome for more details.
Build your own fighter for the RetroDome. See RetroDome for more details.
Every ~7 games there will be a sports game only raffle. The only rule for this raffle is a different sport must be chosen from the last 2 sports picks.
The RetroDome is an arena simulator used to randomly pick a game that has not been locked in place on the Completed/Upcoming Games list. For a list of the games that are currently in the RetroDome check out the RetroDome Contenders list. Currently, the only rule for games that win the RetroDome is that turn-based RPGs can’t win back to back. After a RetroDome turn-based RPG all turn-based RPG fighters will be disabled for just that RetroDome.
To improve the chances of a game winning the RetroDome you can use pixels to purchase attribute points for 5,000 pixels each. Each attribute starts with 5 points and can have a max of 10 points.
When space is available in the RetroDome you may purchase your own fighter to compete with other fighters or games. You can even purchase attribute points and add your own avatar. If your fighter happens to win a RetroDome you will be given the chance to pick ANY game either from the RetroDome list or the game list to be added to the next RetroDome slot. Only fighters of active viewers at the time of the RetroDome will be allowed to fight. Fighters of inactive viewers will only be disabled and not deleted.
If you are interested in adding your own fighter please whisper me to let me know and include a link to an avatar you would like used on the fighter’s profile.
**Please understand that prices above can change at any time to fix problems if they come up.
Attributes range from 1 to 10. Higher values provide a stronger benefit, but every fight still includes random decisions, combat rolls, and arena hazards.
Increases damage from unarmed attacks and spears. Best for close-range fighters.
Increases movement and action speed, improves combat dodging, and helps fighters escape arena guardians. It also improves reactions when chasing, fleeing, or searching for supplies.
Slows thirst and fatigue loss, improves recovery, and helps a fighter survive longer while hungry, thirsty, tired, or injured.
Increases sight range and bow damage. Skilled fighters are better at locating food and water, safely placing land mines, and disarming mines.
Reduces rare weapon accidents, improves mine disarming when combined with Skill, and makes favorable opportunities such as teaming and special attacks more likely.
The table below shows all the ranks that can be earned by simply watching the stream. These ranks don’t provide any perks and are just for show at the moment. To view your current rank use the !stats command in chat.
